Bici Chica LA is Tess’s clothing and accessory design label/brand. Tess’s multigenre artistic practice informs a design philosophy that integrates function, method, style, and DiY expressionism. Inspired by the discourses and imagistic tropes with which subcultures create and identify community, her one-of-a-kind, limited edition designs feature new and reclaimed fabrics, original silkscreened artwork (patches and prints), and vintage, recycled and handcrafted embellishments. While Bici Chica LA reflects a viewpoint informed by underground music, art, political, and bicycling movements, Tess’s pieces serve as stylish and practical gear that everyone can use and enjoy.
